Working Principle

The Kaishan L3 DTH drill bit operates on the principle of down-the-hole hammer drilling. Compressed air is delivered through the drill string to the DTH hammer, which contains a piston that reciprocates at high frequency. The piston strikes the bit's shank, transmitting impact energy to the tungsten carbide buttons. Simultaneously, the bit is rotated slowly by the drill rig. The combination of impact and rotation causes the buttons to fracture the rock through a process of crushing and chipping. The air then flows through the bit's flushing holes, carrying rock cuttings up the annulus to the surface. The L3's design ensures that impact energy is efficiently transferred to the rock, while the air passages are optimized to prevent blockage and minimize pressure loss. The bit's splines engage with the hammer's chuck to transmit rotation without slippage. This method allows for high penetration rates in hard rock with minimal energy loss.

Packaging & Shipping

Each Kaishan L3 DTH drill bit is individually packed in a wooden case or carton, with rust-preventive coating applied to threads and splines. Bits are then palletized and wrapped for container shipment. Standard export packaging ensures protection during transit. Delivery time is typically 15-30 days after order confirmation, depending on quantity. Ports of shipment include Ningbo, Shanghai, or as per customer request. We can accommodate FCL and LCL shipments.
