Working Principle

The Kaishan K80 DTH hammer operates on the principle of compressed air driving a piston to deliver high-energy impacts to the drill bit. Compressed air is supplied through the drill string to the hammer's inlet. The air enters the internal chamber and pushes the piston forward. When the piston strikes the bit shank, it transfers a powerful impact wave to the drill bit, which fractures the rock. After the impact, the piston retracts as air is redirected to the rear chamber. The exhaust air then flows through the bit's flushing holes, clearing cuttings from the hole and cooling the bit. This cycle repeats rapidly, typically 1,200 to 1,800 blows per minute, depending on air pressure and volume. The K80's valveless design uses the piston itself to control air flow, reducing the number of moving parts and increasing reliability. The hammer's spline drive transmits rotation from the drill string to the bit, ensuring even wear and efficient rock breakage. The combination of high impact energy and continuous flushing results in fast penetration rates and long bit life.

Packaging & Shipping

Each Kaishan K80 DTH hammer is securely packed in a wooden case with foam padding to prevent damage during transport. The hammer is coated with anti-rust oil and wrapped in plastic film. Standard export packing is suitable for sea and air freight. For bulk orders, hammers can be palletized or loaded into 20ft or 40ft containers. Typically, 20–30 units fit in a 20ft container depending on packaging configuration. Lead time is 15–30 days after order confirmation, depending on quantity. Shipping ports include Ningbo, Shanghai, or Qingdao, China. We can also arrange door-to-door delivery upon request.
