Working Principle

The Kaishan K6 DTH drill bit operates on the principle of down-the-hole percussion. High-pressure air is delivered through the drill string to the DTH hammer, which houses a piston. The piston strikes the bit's shank repeatedly, transferring impact energy to the tungsten carbide buttons on the bit face. Simultaneously, the bit is rotated slowly by the drill rig. The combination of impact and rotation causes the carbide buttons to fracture the rock through a combination of crushing and chipping. Compressed air then flows through the bit's air holes and flutes, flushing the rock cuttings out of the hole and cooling the bit. The K6's design optimizes this process by ensuring efficient energy transfer, even button wear, and rapid cuttings evacuation, resulting in high penetration rates and extended bit life.

Each Kaishan K6 DTH drill bit is carefully packed in a wooden case or pallet, with rust-proof coating and protective caps on threads and buttons. Standard export packaging ensures safe transport. For bulk orders, bits are palletized and shrink-wrapped. Container loading: 20ft container can hold approximately 500-800 bits depending on size; 40ft container can hold 1000-1500 bits. Lead time: 15-30 days after order confirmation. Port of shipment: Shanghai, Ningbo, or as per customer request. Air freight and express delivery are also available for urgent orders.
